European Youth Press

The European Youth Press (EYP) is an umbrella association of young journalists in Europe. It involves more than 50,000 journalists younger than 30. As a European network of young media makers, EYP has 24 members. EYP has member organisations based in Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Macedonia (FYROM), Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Out of them, 7 organisations joined as observer members in order to get to know EYP and to evaluate full membership. 

The European Youth Press has organized numerous events for young journalists and has promoted the role of youth media and the freedom of the press in Europe. EYP also takes part in discussions about journalistic education standards and media policies throughout the European Union. The EYP sees itself as serving the national structures through the development and coordination of projects organized by young media makers in Europe. EYP provides contact forums and educational seminars for multipliers of the member associations. Above all, the aim of all member associations and of EYP is to inspire young people to become involved in the media and take an active part in civil society by fostering objective and independent journalism.

The European Youth Press aims to enable young people to give voice to their opinions on a European level and provide a critical view of media and politics through journalistic education as well as learning by doing. Orangelog.eu has been created to provide an interactive, multimedia platform for event coverage. Young journalists from all over Europe meet for the first time and take the challenge of working together to report about different events happening across the continent. In 3 years, Orangelog.eu young journalists have been reporting from more than 30 events like: The United Nations Human Rights Conference in Paris, France (2008), the NATO Afghan Student Forum in Pisa, Italy (2007), the first Asia-Europe Young Urban Leaders Dialogue, Madrid, Spain (2008), the Presidential Elections in Armenia (2008), etc. You can find more information about Orangelog on www.orangelog.eu.

Youth Media Network Association

Youth Media Network Association is a leading national non-governmental organization in Bulgaria. We unite school and university clubs of young journalists as well as youth media. Our members are young people between 18 and 35, who work, study or express an interest in journalism, public relations, producing, advertising and visual arts (cinema and TV). YMNA realizes topical projects trough the methods of showbiz and visual arts as well as information campaigns, art performances and fashionable untypical events for the youths. Our motto is "Do your best".

YMNA is a partner of Bulgarian National Television, Cafe Babel Sofia Association and the Association of Bulgarian Broadcasters - ABRO.

YMNA is a member of Youth Consultative Body (National Youth Counsel).


FEJS Macedonia

FEJS Macedonia was established in 2003 as a non-profit, independent organization dedicated to the students and their problems and needs. This organization promotes and mediates the communication between students, professors, university officials, professional journalists and media in general.

Since its founding, FEJS Macedonia along with its European partners, organized a number of conferences, seminars, workshops and lectures focused on some important issues, such as human rights, minority rights, journalism and minorities, reporting diversity, digital photography, online journalism, communication relations between Europe and developing countries, etc. Hundreds of students from all over Europe participated in those events.

At the end of 2008 FEJS Macedonia established www.mladiinfo.com, a portal whose main goal is to offer students all over Europe various information connected with the available studying possibilities, scholarships, grants, trainings and conferences, various calls, working and internship opportunities. The idea is to help young people accomplish their goals as well as to complete their education. www.mladiinfo.com was chosen as one of the five best projects for 2009 by the World Summit Youth Award in the category Education for All.
